Safety

Our objective at District 132 is to provide a safe and secure learning environment.  District staff and students complete safety drills and training each school year to comply with the Illinois Safety Drill Act, 105 ILCS 128 Section 20.  This training includes bus evacuation drills, fire drills, severe weather drills, shelter-in-place drills, and active-shooter lockdown drills.  The Calumet Park Police and Fire Departments participate jointly with District 132 in these life-saving drills every school year.  We are an ALICE-certified district, and student safety is our top priority.  Our district's emergency safety plan is reviewed annually with first responders.
