The Buildings and Grounds Department for Calumet School District 132 supports Burr Oak Academy, Burr Oak Elementary, Calumet Middle School, and the District Office.
Our goal is to maintain a clean, safe learning environment for all students and staff.
Maintenance shop hours are Monday - Friday
6:30 am - 3:30 pm.
In addition to the maintenance of facilities and grounds, the department is also engaged in the following:
- Custodial operations
- Energy monitoring and conservation
- Training on new equipment and safety procedures
- Equipment upkeep and repairs
- Building security, keys, cards, camera monitoring, and vandalism reporting
- Capital improvement projects
- Maintaining the district mapping and blueprint filing system
- Deliveries
- All building maintenance, including deferred maintenance, project planning, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, security, etc.
