Board policy 7:230 Misconduct by Students with Disabilities

Calumet Park School District 132 has established behavioral intervention procedures for students with disabilities consistent with Board Policy 7:230, IDEA, and ISBE Special Education rules. These procedures outline how behavioral needs are identified during an initial evaluation, when a Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) is conducted, and how positive Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs) are developed, implemented, and monitored when a student’s behavior impedes learning.
