My name is Karen Ivey. I have been a resident since 1991. As a mother of 10 children, some with special needs, I believe that all children can and should learn. I am a believer of support for all children. I have been a member of the school board since 2001. High expectations do produce positive results. Give a child the support they need and they will succeed. Being a role model for my children, I have attended some colleges, Kennedy King College, Trinity Christian College and Morraine Community College. I have been and continue to be an influence on the life of my students. I look forward to many years of continued service to the community.

Mrs. Corliss Smith has resided in Calumet Park for 22 years. She has been married for 32 years with six children, five of which have graduated from Calumet Public School District 132. Mrs. Smith enjoys motivating an inspiring young people. Mrs. Smith is a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Incorporated, Eta Xi Sigma Graduate Chapter; producer of Miss Too Cute Pageant and director of Back to Basics Tutoring Programs Inc. Mrs. Smith attended George Henry Corliss High School and is a graduate of both Robert Morris College and Chicago State University in Chicago, IL. Mrs. Smith became a board member because of her passion for young people. Her belief is that young people can do anything they put their minds to. As a board member Mrs. Smith would like to assist with school reform planning, strengthen administration and improve student support services. As an active parent Mrs. Smith hopes to inform and encourage parents to become more involved in our schools because it takes a village to raise a child.
My name is Kimberly Watkins. I have been a Calumet Park resident for over 25 years. I am the owner/director of Kimberly's Kidcare here in Calumet Park. I have provided quality childcare, private transportation and a phenomenal after school for 23 years. I am currently an Illinois Notary. I am a member of Calumet Park Chamber of Commerce. I am a current member of Sheldon Heights Church of Christ. I am a current member of Serenity Chapter #7 O.E.S From Sheerah Grand Chapter. I have served on the Local School Council member as a Parent Rep, Co-Chairperson & Chairperson from (2007-2017), for Chicago Public School system for over a decade. I have experience working with School Improvement Plans, Budget Transfers, Internal Accounts, Principal Evaluation, and No Child Left Behind. I have worked with all STAKEHOLDERS in order to assist with providing a great education to all children.

Kimberly "Mz Kim" Watkins
Mrs. Synathia Harris has resided in Calumet Park for 12 years. She has been married for 19 years with three great kids. Mrs. Harris is a member of The Order of Eastern Stars P.H.A. After attending St. Martin de Porres Academy High School, Mrs. Harris attended Lewis University in Romeoville, IL. majoring in Criminal Social Justice. Mrs. Harris became a board member because of her commitment to maintain educational excellence in the children of Calumet Park by servicing the children with excellent programs, rules and policies. Mrs. Harris is confident that she can make a great impact in her community.
My name is Patricia Ann Carr. I have been a resident and property owner in Calumet Park, IL for the past 28 years. I previously worked for five years as a substitute teacher in School District 132. I have achieved Master Board Member recognition for service and participation in various Illinois Association of School Boards and National School Boards Association activities within a two year timeframe.
In addition, I have earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Chicago State University and a Master of Science in Telecommunications from Southern Methodist University. I have earned more than 30 credit hours toward a Master in Early Childhood Education from Chicago State University. Currently, I own and operate a licensed Home Day Care. I believe that our children's educational experience is impacted by many factors such as an infrastructure that is conducive to 21st century learning, outstanding teachers and administrators, actively involved parents, and fiscal responsibility. The combination of these factors should provide a learning atmosphere that enables our children to realize their full potential, as well as prepare them to be lifelong learners and active contributors in our global society. I also promote the relationship between our schools and community.

I, Constance (Connie) Smith, have lived in the Village of Calumet Park for 32 years, with my two children and two grandchildren. I retired from Roseland Community Hospital working in the ultrasound sound, radiology department. I served on the Planning Commission board from 1993 to 1995. I was instrumental in bringing new housing, and business to the Village of Calumet Park. I was elected as a trustee in 1995, serving as chairwoman to the police and fire committee. There I worked diligently with the police and fire department to keep out village safe.
My grandsons are currently enrolled in the Calumet Park school system, so I will work together with the school board and superintendent to keep the schools of Calumet Park safe, and stay in good standing. I was a hard worker for the Village of Calumet Park and will bring this same work ethic to the school system.
Calumet Park is the place to be. Let’s keep the school system the place to be and learn.

My name is Christopher Towers Jr. Born and nurtured on the South Side in Chicago historical Bronze -Ville Community and graduated from Dr. Martin Luther King High School. Received Bachelor degree in Social Work from Western Illinois University Macomb Ill, while attending Western Illinois University served as President of the local Youth chapter of NAACP and President of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated-Eta Eta Chapter.
Later earned a Master's Degree of Education-Inner City Studies at Northeastern Illinois University. Been a proud resident and home owner of Calumet Park Community since December 2003. Married to Pamela Towers and have two young daughters attending Calumet Park Schools.
I currently serve professionally as Public Service Administrator for Illinois Department of Children of Family Services. I have spent over 22 years in Social Service Administration, while serving 21 years with DCFS. In June of 2016 co-founded NABRU Inc. that was organized by Men to help create opportunities for positive changes in the lives of Urban African American youth and train the next generation of positive leaders. Continued services as Chairman of Deacons at St. Mary's Missionary Baptist Church located in the Englewood community.
